CMCS to hold project management solutions conference
Event to be held from 8th to 9th June at Crowne Plaza on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi
The event will be the first of its kind in the PM sector in the region, says Samman.
Project portfolio management company, Collaboration, Management and Control Solutions (CMCS) will hold its First Annual Conference on programme and project management information systems from 8th to 9th June 2011 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Yas Island, Abu Dhabi.
CMCS is expecting over 200 project management system developers to attend the conference to discuss latest programme and project management information system technologies, solutions, best practices and trends.
The conference will be held under the theme ‘Latest Trends and Solutions for Managing Schedules, Costs, Risks, Contracts and Records in Capital Asset Programmes and Projects’, and will feature presentations from the top names in PM solutions, including Oracle, Synchro and AVEVA Solutions.
Representatives from several sectors including Oil and Gas, Power and Utility, Engineering and Construction, Government, Information Technology and Telecommunication sectors will be attending the sessions.
“In our upcoming conference we will be bringing in the world’s leading PM experts under one roof to extensively discuss the present and the future of Programme and Project Management Information Systems. We are working within a new project landscape so we need to be armed with the right tools and techniques which we shall be seeing at the conference. This is the first time we will be holding an annual PM event of this scope, there is huge potential in terms of new partnerships, enhanced solutions and greater industry consolidation,” said CMCS CEO and founder Bassam Samman.
Oracle’s Primavera Enterprise Portfolio Project Management, AVEVA, CoreWorx, Active Risk Manager, DELTEK and Hard Dollar are just some of the project management software solutions to be showcased at the event.
Samman will open the conference with a discussion on the latest trends and solutions for managing capital asset programmes and projects.
Other topics to be discussed at the conference include 4D scheduling, integrated planning and scheduling, sourcing and retention of specialist talent, interface management in mega-capital projects, and the management of highways, railways and pipeline projects.
