ASUS launches Eee Pad Transformer in UAE
Tablet runs on Android Honeycomb, powered by NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core processor
The ASUS Eee Pad Transformer has an optional docking station which features a full QWERTY keyboard and extends the tablet's battery life.
ASUS has launched its Android Honeycomb-based tablet, the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer in the UAE with prices starting at AED1,899.
The Transformer features an optional docking station, which provides access to a full QWERTY keyboard and Android Function keys. The docking station is also designed to extend the tablet's 9.5 hours of battery life to up to 16 hours.
The Transformer is powered by the nVidia Tegra 2 dual-core processor, designed to provide a snappier response time and better performance when multi-tasking.
The tablet's screen is made from a durable and scratch-resistant glass and is viewable at angles up to 178°.
A built-in SRS Sound technology is designed to provide dynamic 3D stereo audio, with maximum bass response and a wide sound field. The tablet also has discrete speakers housed in the 12.98mm thick frame that weighs 680g.
The Transformer, designed for both business and entertainment use, has 5MP rear and 1.2MP front-facing cameras to record video. Video can then be played back on HDTVs via a mini HDMI output port.
The ASUS Eee Pad Transformer is pre-loaded with Polaris Office 3.0, a professional Mobile Office Solution, designed to allow users to edit various types of files, including documents (.doc), spreadsheets (.xls) and presentation (.ppt) files.
For file sharing and storage, the Transformer features a touchpad, a 3.5mm audio jack, two USB ports and a built-in SD Card reader.
ASUS also includes the ASUS WebStorage cloud storage feature, with one year unlimited storage space with the device.
The tablet is available at all leading electronics retailers across the UAE.
