The OKI MC361dn is the most expensive MFD in this grouptest and offers a LED-based colour print engine. This MFD is designed for business buyers and after putting it to the test we were thoroughly impressed.
Putting the OKI through its paces the MC361dn excelled with sky-high test results. Feeding the device our intensive six page text and graphics PDF document the OKI got the job done in a matter of seconds managing a speed of 12.8ppm - the highest figure here. The machine also managed to spit out the first page of the same document in 12- and 14-seconds in monochrome and colour respectively.
Moving to our 20-page text document the OKI produced incredible results again, it managed print speeds of 21ppm and 18.1ppm in monochrome and colour. While the monochrome figure is the second highest in this test falling behind the Canon i-SENSYS MF4570dn by a miniscule margin, the OKI's colour figure is the fastest. In terms of copying the machine blew every other MFD out of the water here as it completed our monochrome and colour copy test is just 10- and 19-seconds respectively.
Like other OKI devices we've tested the MC361dn is very easy to setup. And with a fast 533MHz processor and a massive 256MB of onboard memory, the OKI can also handle large print jobs without choking.
Verdict: The MC361dn is the obvious choice if you have demanding print needs and require a fast and capable colour printer.
