Zain Jordan, part of Kuwait's Zain Group, has linked its network to Iraq through a fibre-optic cable, according to a report by Kuna, the Kuwait News Agency.

"The company's network has been linked to the network of the Iraqi telecommunication corporation through the optical fibre cable that ends in Baghdad, Dr. Abdulmalek Al-Jaber, CEO of Zain Jordan, was quoted in the report. He said that the hook-up of Zain Jordan's network to Iraq has enabled the company to enter the Iraqi market offering high speed internet services and broadband solutions that meet the needs of its customers in Iraq.
