The UAE’s telecoms regulator, the TRA, has confirmed that all Blackberry services will remain available in the UAE, following reports last week that some services to small businesses might be suspended.

“The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority confirms the continuation of all Blackberry services in the UAE to both individuals and to business customers, including Blackberry messenger, Blackberry email and Blackberry browsing,” the TRA said in a statement.

The TRA added that it would clarify “any confusion” regarding its regulations with the UAE’s telecom operators, Etisalat and Du, this week.

The statement followed unconfirmed reports last week that the TRA was planning to make changes to regulations relating to Blackberry Enterprise Services (BES).

Blackberry services will remain is a good note, but i see that in this part of the world the Blackberry APPS is not accessible. Why are we blocking the Apps ? its a tool that helps make the device more productive and the customers like every other country and region have the right to access and avail the same. TRA needs to look into making this avaialble.
