Under agreement customers will get access to free Wi-Fi with new Quicknet Action 2 package

Acer signs partnership with STC Acer has announced an agreement with STC to provide access to free Acer devices and free Wi-Fi with the purchase of a Quicknet Action 2 internet package.

Acer has recently signed a strategic partnership with STC to combine Acer's devices with STC internet and telecommunication technology.

"STC is always committed to guarantee its services to access its largest customer base in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and mobile technologies occupies most of our attention in the upcoming stage, which is why we partnered with Acer, one of the most important trademarks in the world, in order to give customers the possibility to access the internet at all times," said Jameel bin Abdullah Almulhem, vice president of STC Personal unit.

Under this new partnership, customers in Saudi Arabia will get an Aspire One D255 device once they subscribe to Quicknet Action 2 package.

These customers will also receive a 7.2 Mbps modem, Postpaid Data SIM card, and a 5 GB/month subscription with free Wi-Fi service.

According to STC, over 1,000 sites in Saudi Arabia will offer the free Wi-Fi service to Quicknet customers through various STC portals.

Customers who buy Acer devices will also be able to receive a free modem, prepaid internet SIM card and a one month internet package, this offer is available at retail stores offering Acer products in Saudi Arabia.

"Acer has created a pioneering location for its self in the Kingdom's market, and we are proud now to have signed this partnership with a national company like STC. Acer through its marketing strategy aims seriously to achieve its goals by acquiring the largest share in the IT market in the Kingdom," said Mohammed Al Hilili, sales manager at Acer Saudi Arabia.

Acer has said that Saudi Arabia is one of its strongest markets in the Middle East region.
