The Flatron E2350V is from LG's E50 flagship series of LED-based display monitors. The extremely slim LCD boasts 23-inches of screen real estate and runs at a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. This makes the LG suitable for viewing 1080p Full HD content and because there’s a HDMI port, you’ll be able to watch HDCP protected content on this screen as well.
Feeding the screen a variety of content the LG proved itself a competent contender. It didn't put a pixel wrong when it came to fast moving content, so whether we were enjoying a fast paced game of Need for Speed Hot Pursuit or watching movies such as The Fast and the Furious, we noticed no blur at all.The screen is also capable of bright visuals and this is no surprise considering its 250cd/m2 brightness rating.
One area where the LG is ill-equipped is with regard to non-display-related features. The screen lacks a USB hub, doesn't feature built-in speakers, isn't height adjustable, lacks swivel support and can't be rotated. Considering its relatively high-price, this is far from ideal.
The LCD lacks a built-in power adapter as well, so depending on the setup you have, you'll have to deal with the power brick encroaching on your space. The viewing angles were also limited both horizontally and vertically, so you'll have to be sat directly in front of it for the best visuals.
Verdict: If the high cost and somewhat limited feature palette don't bother you, the E2350V is a capable screen for mixed use.
