Lalai to leave Sony Gulf Lalai was heavily involved in the launch of the Vaio brand in the Middle East.

Dharmendra Lalai is set to leave his role as general manager for the IT & B2B marketing division of Sony Gulf FZE.

Lalai has worked for Sony in the region for the past 16 years, and was particularly instrumental in driving its Vaio laptop business in the Middle East. He remains with Sony, taking on the role of managing director for South Africa from March.

Lalai previously held roles with Unilever and the Indian subsidiary of British American Tobacco.

Hiroshi Kikuchi, the current general manager, Sales & Marketing will now oversee the sales & marketing function for the IT Marketing Division of Sony Gulf.
