Aptec and Track Distribution have launched a new partner alliance program, to help boost skills around data centre offerings in the Middle East.

The Datacenter Partner Alliance Program aims to deliver expertise and support to enterprise channel partners throughout the region, and to leverage on relationships with leading vendors to deliver comprehensive data centre solutions.

The program will focus on best-of-breed vendors including Cisco, VMware, NetApp and APC, and will offer partners a one-stop-shop for all data centre requirements, including hardware, software, networking and services. Partners will gain increased visibility and vendor preference in data centre deployments, and will be included in demand generation programs, joint marketing funds and other promotions.

Partners will also receive educational opportunities and updates on vendor programs, and will have access to technical training at Track's Data Centre Lab and Virtualization Training Centre.

Dr Ali Baghdadi, Aptec Holdings' president and CEO said: "The Datacenter Partner Alliance Program aims to fast track resellers' training in data centre infrastructure and virtualization solutions from best-in-class vendors.

"The Program is designed for our partners and we would like them to take advantage of the solution built and offered around the data centre. We believe these solutions will benefit in bringing more profit for you and your customers alike," he added.

The program was launched at the first Datacenter Partner Alliance Forum, hosted by Aptec and Track in Dubai, which brought together 40 top resellers from across the GCC, Yemen and Pakistan, along with Cisco, VMware, NetApp and APC.

The event featured guest speakers from EME company Sterling & Wilson, Dubai World Central and IT consultancy Advisetel.
