BenQ, has launched its new 23.6" (16:9 Aspect Ratio) LED Gaming Monitor, XL2410T, in the Middle East.

BenQ partnered with ZOWIE, a professional gaming mouse and mouse pad company, to help develop the monitor.

"As the world's leading provider of LED monitors, BenQ's focus on innovation and research has enabled us to develop the new XL2410T- which will usher in a new era for gamers the world over. By partnering with industry leaders like ZOWIE and Counter-Strike legends ‘HeatoN' and ‘SpawN' BenQ has firmly taken the lead in the gaming market, delivering an unparalleled visual and sensory experience," said Manish Bakshi, General Manager of BenQ for the Middle East and Africa.

ZOWIE's teams of gamers participated in product development and testing of the monitor. The monitor features a 120Hz refresh rate, 23.6-inch W LED panel and backlighting, 3D-ready and 2ms  response time.

The BenQ monitor also has a range of gaming modes including a Shooting Game mode, co-developed by professional Counter-Strike players- Emil "HeatoN" Christensen and Abdisamad "SpawN" Mohamed.

The monitor can also display video from two sources at the same time and is designed to be able to be adjusted to just about any angle.

The screen's image is re-drawn 120 times every second, designed to prevent lag time between the virtual world and what gamers see on screen.

Gamers are able to switch the size of the screen content using the Smart-Scaling hotkey, they can switch between 17", 19", 19" widescreen, and 22" widescreen formats to get the best possible view.

The monitor's Picture-by-Picture (PBP) display mode means a user has access to side by-side display of video from two independent sources. Gamers can change the height, tilt, pivot, stroke and swivel adjustment of each monitor to suit their preferences.

The BenQ XL2410T is certified as NVIDIA(R) 3D Vision-ready, meaning it is designed to be ready or graphic-intensive 3D games or movies.

The BenQ XL2410T is priced at AED1799 and will be available at all major retail outlets across the Middle East from mid-February 2011.
