Canon eyes expansion in Maghreb The seminars are part of Canon's planned expansion in the Maghreb.

Canon Middle East has hosted a series of seminars for systems integrators and VARs in Morocco, as part of its plans to expand in the Maghreb region.

The seminars, held in Casablanca and Rabat, featured core products from Canon's imaging solutions, including copiers, multi-function printers and Document Imaging Management Systems (DIMS), along with discussions of forthcoming strategies relating to the new products, development of Channels and marketing initiatives. The seminars were intended to give partners in region a better understanding of Canon and to help increase its market share.

Canon aims to use Morocco as the starting point for expansion in Algeria and Tunisia.

By focusing on System Integrators & Value Added Resellers and providing them with a hands-on experience of Canon's latest product range across the printer, copier and DIMS categories, we hope to give them a better appreciation and understanding of how Canon products are a better proposition for clients and partners," says Somesh Adukia, sales manager, Canon Middle East.

 "We see a great potential in this region and are keen to develop this market. We offer a wide-range of imaging products and business solutions that can provide small and medium enterprises as well as big businesses and firms with the tools they need to develop their business," added Adukia.

 "By empowering our valued reseller partners with this experience and enhancing their understanding of Canon's business solutions skills, we would like to demonstrate how committed we are to develop this channel," he said.
