Qtel has revealed its new upgraded and expanded data centre in time for 2011. The new centre, in Qatar, provides a 300% increase in capacity and businesses in the aviation, industry, financial and real estate sectors, have already requested additional capacity to support projected business growth.

The data centre upgrades now enable the facility to support a variety of new data solutions and services and offer capacity on-demand to businesses across Qatar.

The new Qtel centre is designed to deliver end-to-end support for business IT infrastructure needs, including advanced monitoring, backup and storage solutions, disaster recovery, business continuity and resiliency planning.

The Qtel data centre provides a controlled environment designed to optimise the deployment of fundamental components such as power, cooling, and networking systems.

Qtel data centre is a fully-redundant facility and is one of the first global data centres in the region to provide local and regional customers with a full range of Enterprise Hosting, Managed and Professional Services.
