Westcon shows security range at Intersec The security business is a large part of Westcon ME's value-add strategy, says Menon.

Westcon ME is showcasing its range of IP security products and solutions at Intersec 2011, taking place in Dubai this week.

The distributor has increased its presence at the security expo, to exhibit solutions including internet security solutions, IP surveillance, ruggedized WLAN and wireless broadband solutions for Broadband PTP and PTMP.

Venu Menon, director, Sales and Marketing, Westcon ME, said: "Westcon's security range, which is comprised of internet security products and network infrastructure business, with offerings for data centres and IP Surveillance, is a big part of our focus in our value-add distribution model.

Among the solutions on display from Westcon ME at Intersec are biometric access control devices, intelligent surveillance systems using facial recognition technology, UPS systems, discreet camera domes and enclosures, megapixel IP and HD cameras, video matrix systems, next generation digital video recorders, software-only video management solutions, and fiber optic transmission systems for video/data by PELCO; Sonicwall's advanced intelligent network security and data protection solutions; Motorola's secured and robust wireless LAN (WLAN) and wireless broadband (WiBB) solutions and Zebra's Security range of printers offering reliable on-demand hardware solutions (card- Barcode & RFID), enabling improvements in sourcing, visibility, security and accuracy.

Intersec is taking place at the Dubai International Convention Centre until 18th January.
