WD launches Scorpio Black 750GB

Western Digital announces its new WD Scorpio Black 750GB hard drive. The drive is a 2.5-inch SATA drive equipped with a spindle speed of 7200 rpm and 16MB cache to give impressive read/write times for quicker performance in notebooks. It uses ‘Advanced Format' technology and integrates data-protection features to monitor and protect data.

According to WD, the family of WD Scorpio Black hard drives are designed to be used in notebooks and have been tested across multiple platforms to ensure a smooth upgrade of speed and performance.
