Toshiba boots up Toshiba's updated Qosmio X500 features second generation Intel's Core processors and also offers 2D to 3D conversion and HDMI support for streaming 3D movies to a 3D capable TV.

Toshiba Computer Systems has updated its Satellite A660, Satellite A665, Satellite A665 3D and Qosmio X500 consumer laptops.

All of these units are now powered by the second-generation Intel Core processors.

With the processor upgrade, these laptops are designed to offer better multimedia and connectivity features to improve multimedia consumption and creation.

The Satellite A660, A665, A665 3D are designed to be Toshiba's entertainment powerhouses.

Toshiba has added a USB 3.0 port to these models, as well as adding a Sleep-and-Charge function, designed to allow users to recharge mobile devices through the laptop while it is switched off.

The laptop also now comes with a new remote control compatible with Windows Media Centre Edition. This allows remote controlling of TV , video and audio features.

The new Satellite A660 and the Satellite A665 series  also offer a Bluetooth 3.0 interface to wirelessly connect with peripherals at fast data rates up to 24 Mbit/s .

The Qosmio X500 is Toshiba's advanced gaming laptop; this device now comes equipped with second generation Intel's Core processors and also offers 2D to 3D conversion and HDMI support for streaming 3D movies to a 3D capable TV.

The new Qosmio X500 has a solid state hybrid drive with a 500 GB hard disk drive and a 4 GB flash. This new generation gaming laptop now has a Bluetooth 3.0.

All of the new laptop models will be available during the first quarter of 2011 in the EMEA region.
