The BR-6428n features Edimax’s new ‘iQos’ managing system which is said to better manage your internet bandwidth.

“With ‘iQoS’ managing system the user can quickly and comfortably manage the internet bandwidth. It also allows the user to have gaming, video streaming, using the VOIP applications and handling BT at the same time quite easily. It is trouble free and the intuitive user interface allows you to arrange all your priority settings in just a few clicks,” said Jihad Youssef, GM, Edimax Middle East.

The router has been designed with the latest green technology. It detects the amount of power needed to maintain the quantity of wireless transference and supply and is thus able to ensure better wireless performance while saving up to 66% of the usual power consumption. The Edimax BR-6428n is 802.11b/g/n compliant, and the iQ technology is said to increase wireless coverage by five times and reduce dead spots within the wireless range. It is also said to achieve transmission rates of up to 300Mbps.

Another feature of this router is a button, ‘WPS’, that allows the user to secure a network by simply pressing it and saving the hassle of setting up and configuring the security of the wireless network. The built in WLAN switch toggles the On/Off Power to the router.

“The Edimax BR-6428n is not an ordinary router available in the market. Its combination of features and technological advancement makes this router one of the best in its segment,” said Youssef.
