Despite general doom and gloom over the global economic situation, it's been another busy year in the technology industry. 2010 saw the launch of some stand-out new technologies, more acquisitions from the major players, a few top-level management shake-ups, and the cloud hype cycle reaching unparalleled heights.
The year also saw a growing interest in the local start-up scene, more moves to boost regional connectivity, and and the continued tenacious growth of the industry in the Middle East, even in the face of constrained IT budgets.
