Juniper Networks has filled the EMEA VP vacancy created by Gert-Jan Schenk’s move to McAfee earlier this year by hiring Sean Dolan from Alcatel-Lucent.

Dolan joins the networking equipment vendor having held numerous executive roles at Alcatel Lucent. He most recently served as president for the Asia Pacific region.

Dolan will be responsible for all aspects of Juniper’s business activities across the region, including sales development, training and enablement, strategic planning, customer engagement and revenue growth.

“Juniper Networks is an innovative player in the networking and cloud-based computing space, and it’s an exciting time to join the company,” stated Dolan. “The company’s vision for the new network, embodied most recently by the Junos Pulse Mobile Security Suite, shows that Juniper is at the forefront of product innovation. Juniper understands customers’ needs for high-performance networking at a lower total cost of ownership.”

As well as Alcatel-Lucent, Dolan has worked for EDS, Wang Laboratories and Ernst & Young. In his new role, he will report to John Morris, Juniper’s executive VP of worldwide sales.
