Technology and telecoms analyst Ovum has launched a new app, which is designed to deliver market insights and analysis from Ovum's global analyst network direct to your mobile.

The Pocket Analyst has been developed to provide customers with industry knowledge through their smartphones according to Adrian Drury, Ovum's lead media and broadcast technology analyst.

"We know from research that the smartphone is becoming a business critical tool for accessing information on the move. The aim of the app is to map Ovum's research and intelligence services to the schedule of our clients and partners, and complement our PC-based services. It connects users with our latest insight on developments on anything from cloud computing to the smartphone market and is a valuable tool for today's business people. The app acts as a personal mobile guide and quickly links users to the information they need to get real inside knowledge," said Drury.

Features of the PocketAnalyst's include access to insight and analysis on industry developments and a technology glossary, which is designed to allow users to decipher the language of the technology and telecoms sectors. Users can also link into Ovum's analyst community and learn about upcoming industry events.
