Computing and graphics solutions company, Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) has introduced the AMD Radeon HD 6800 series of graphics cards, which it promises are the next generation in PC gaming.

AMD says these graphics cards are perfect for gamers because they deliver more than 30% better game performance than competing products.

The graphics cards use AMD's second-generation Microsoft DirectX 11-capable architecture, energy efficiency, and feature set, including AMD Eyefinity multi-display technology.

"AMD is the market share leader by a landslide in DirectX 11 graphics," said Bernard Biolchini, AMD VP and General Manager for the Middle East, Turkey and Africa. "Through our sweet spot strategy and our open, industry standards approach, we've worked to deliver the best possible experience for gamers. Today, our laser focus on gamers continues with the introduction of what we think is far and away the best graphics card series today, the AMD Radeon HD 6800 series."

The AMD Radeon HD 6800 cards are currently available from online stores such as Club 3D, Diamond Multimedia and PowerColour from US$179.
