PC and console accessory manufacturer Thrustmaster is promoting its latest controllers.

The company’s latest offering is the Ferrari Wireless GT Cockpit 430 Scuderia Edition. The device is a fully-fledged cockpit featuring a built-in steering wheel and pedal set and is compatible with the PlayStation 3 and PC.

Christian Maby, Worldwide Sales Director for Thrustmaster says, “Thrustmaster specialises in providing end users with a new gaming experience. Many people were looking for a product like this and Thrustmaster took the initiative to deliver. Our main issues when creating this product were how to make the device run cleanly without wires while at the same time allowing the user to store the device once finished playing with.

Our team thus developed a wireless cockpit that is foldable and stores easily. Moreover, the wheel is a replica of the Ferrari F430. Thrustmaster is trying to provide the market with more accurate devices that are precise and improve the gaming experience. The magnetic sensor technology used in the Ferrari cockpit is 65,000 times better than conventional cockpits and has an enhanced life cycle as it is devoid of any friction.”

The cockpit is said to allow users to put themselves in the driver’s seat and experience professional racing from the comfort of their homes. Its wireless range is said to be greater than 10 metres while battery life is a claimed 50 hours.
