Shyam, an Indian manufacturer of RF radios, access points, WiFi products and networking components, has every reason to exhibit at GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK.

The company, which is exhibiting at the event for the first time, is experiencing a surge of interest from the Middle East region, and is hoping to open its first regional office in Dubai in the coming months.

The company already has thousands of installations around the globe for its various product lines and it has a very strong base regarding its ISM band products, networking components, and WiFi products.

Ankit Khanna, General Manager, Channel Sales, Shyam, says that the company already has 34 offices in India and 12 offices around the globe. However, it does not yet have an office in the Middle East.

“We are now catering for the Middle East and Africa market, that is why we are participating for the first time in GITEX and we have got a very good response,” Khanna says.“We have to take some approvals from the TRA about our products. Once the approvals are sorted, within about three month’s time, we will have an office here. We want a presence in Dubai first, from where we can cater to the whole market.” He adds that the company is optimistic about winning business from companies and organisations in the region following numerous positive talks. “Telcos and ISPs are our biggest customers, but other companies which have multiple offices within a radius of 30km and want to connect their offices either P2P or multipoint, are also customers,” Khanna adds.
