IT distribution group Aptec yesterday celebrated its 30-year participation at GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK with a special ceremony at its stand.

The Dubai-based outfit, which specialises in the distribution of products from vendors such as Oracle and Symantec, holds the distinction of being the longest serving exhibitor at GITEX.

Aptec’s Founder and CEO, Dr. Ali Baghdadi, was joined at the stand by Helal Al Marri, CEO of GITEX organisers DWTC, in order to mark the anniversary by cutting a celebratory cake. Representatives from Aptec’s vendor partners, as well as senior employees, were also present.

Aptec also used the anniversary celebrations to announce that its subsidiary Track Distribution has launched a new programme giving resellers the opportunity to take one of Cisco’s C-Series C200, C210 and C250 rack-mount server models on a 30-day ‘no-risk’ basis, so that they or their customers can conduct a full assessment of the systems. “This programme further reinforces the quality stamp which Cisco as a manufacturer represents. This will also give our partners an opportunity to buy a high performance server, test it in a live lab environment and, if not convinced with the performance, return the product back within 30 days from the date of purchase and get a full refund,” explains Shailendra Sainani, General Manager of Track.
