Oracle is intent on using its presence at this year’s GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK to demonstrate its commitment to the region, as well as to share the company’s roadmap and vision with customers.

After 20 consecutive years associated with GITEX, this year’s event will also be the first in the region since Oracle and Sun completed their integration in the Middle East in June, and many at the company would consider it to be Oracle’s most important trade show outside of America.

Marc Heger, MENA regional sales manager is keen to point out the importance the company attaches to the region: “We’re really investing out here,” he says. “In the UAE, Oman, Saudi, Morocco, Algeria – all around the area, and not just in sales, in all roles – technical and service engineers. It’s not just lip service.”

During the show, Oracle and its partners will network and showcase their solutions and technologies offering an insight into how Oracle can transform the industry with a complete technology stack, from applications to disk, engineered to work together. The event will also offer a unique environment where Oracle executives, partners, current and potential customers meet to discuss their IT and business needs.

With more than 100 sessions, 35 partners’ exhibits and hundreds of demos to explore, Oracle’s customers will discover new ways to optimise their systems and new solutions that will take their business to the next level. The sessions will be held at Oracle World and will aim at engaging participants in discussions to address technologies, and trends.
