Visitors to GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK can access essential exhibitor information via iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch for the first time ever this year, with the release of the ITP Gitex Catalogue App.

The app, which is available for free from Apple's Application store, provides profiles of over 2,000 exhibitor companies, along with ‘at a glance' A-Z listings, Product listings, Floor-plans, Conference schedules and much more.

The iCatalogue has been designed to provide easy and efficient access and search of catalogue data, and to give exhibitors to the show added exposure and connection to show visitors. Key data is also included in Arabic.

The iPhone version of the app also includes fully interactive email addresses, websites and telephone numbers which means users can contact companies directly via the catalogue app.

The application is based on the printed version of the award-winning Gitex Catalogue, which is available at the show. Research shows that the catalogue is retained by visitors and exhibitors as a reference tool for months after the show has finished, and this iCatalogue version, which includes all exhibitors from the print version, aims to become an equally essential tool once the show is done. Downloads are averaging over 10 per hour.
