Signing up export partners is one of Sharaf Electronics’ main goals at GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK 2010.

“We are at GITEX looking for new partners to sign on. We already have partners across in the Middle East in places like Saudi Arabia and Iran but these are only for some of the products that we distribute. We are looking for new partners so that they can distribute our other products in foreign markets,” explains Nicholas Biswas, Sales Officer, Sharaf Electronics.

The company is also promoting its Navigon, Tamron, Coby and Hello Kitty products in an effort to draw attention to its brands and various products.

Iran and Saudi Arabia are two of the distribution firms’ two biggest markets. “In these markets the product that we move the most is iRiver’s multimedia players,” exclaims Biswas.

The most prominent display on the company’s stand is its range of Tamron lenses. Tamron is a global manufacturer of optical equipment that offers premium-quality products for many different industries. Sharaf Electronics is running a video demonstrating the capabilities of Tamron’s Vibration Compensation (VC) technology. Tamron’s range includes photographic lenses, CCTV lenses, video camera lenses, mobile phone lenses, automotive application lenses and optical storage devices.

In an effort to effectively promote its various brands the company is running promotions at Shopper. “We’re running a number of promotions this year at Shopper. For example if you buy a Navigon GPS device we are bundling it along with a free holder or even a charging kit,” says Biswas.

When asked about his company’s interest in signing up new brands Biswas explains,
“At the moment we have some brands that are in the pipelinebut we can’t divulge who they are just yet.”
