IT vendor F5 Networks is investing heavily in the Middle East and recently appointed Diego Arrabal as its new Middle East Regional Director, to oversee the company’s development in the region.

The company, which is headquartered in Seattle, USA, was ranked 17th among world’s top technology companies for 2010 by Fortune Magazine.

But far from making the company complacent, F5 sees huge growth potential in the Middle East.

The company currently has two offices in the Middle East, in Saudi Arabia and Dubai, where Arrabal will be based.

At GITEX, one of F5’s main areas of focus is to raise awareness of the company and the benefits it can bring to business, and also to allow Arrabal, who has 20 years experience in the IT vendor sector, to introduce himself to the market.

F5 has also arranged a special partner breakfast for Monday morning, during which Arrabal and his team will meet with the CEO’s of the firm’s main partners.

F5 helps clients including telecom operators, banks, government entities and enterprises to improve their efficiency and effectiveness by deploying its Application Delivery Networking expertise.

“The main criteria that drives a customer to look for a solution like F5 is when they need to deliver a service or application to a certain population and it is critical for them that this service is able to be used 24/7 in a secure way and with a good level of experience,” Arrabal says, adding that the Middle East is a fast growing region.
