ESET’s top management has confirmed that the firm has maintained strong sales during a tough year for the IT industry.

Neo Neophytou, Managing director for ADAOX, the Cyprus-based distributor of ESET products says: “The Middle East is always a promising territory and actually, ESET is here since 2004 with its own premise through the distribution arm which is ADAOX. The growth rate we have experienced in the Middle East H. We are growing into the double digit number even this year when things are slowing down.”

“The UAE market is one of the most prominent markets for us. We are very strong in the Kuwaiti market. We have big clients in the government sector like the Ministry of Education in UAE. We have secured the Supreme Education Council in Qatar with 16,000 licences which covers all the schools in the country. We also have major banks in Kuwait,” continues Neophytou.

Miroslav Trnka, chief executive officer says: “ESET is one of the first companies which had the technology, but at the time nobody used the term. Now we are preferring technologies which put more intelligence in networks. I don’t believe that cloud services will solve all our security problems. It’s more of fashion for now.”

“In Europe we’re starting to provide managed services for companies and so on. We are building a portfolio which covers complete security,” he believes.
