Emax is using its third appearance at the annual exhibition to boost customer awareness about its brands and its various product offerings.

“By participating at GITEX Shopper this year we hope to generate further awareness amongst shoppers in the region of the Emax brand and of our various offerings. Many shoppers for example may be aware of our extensive range of televisions, mobile phones, digital cameras, notebooks, software and other such items but may be less aware that we also offer a large range of white goods and even gym equipment and security solutions,” explains Neelesh Bhatnagar, CEO, Emax. “As we plan to further expand our stores across the region in the future, it is imperative for our audiences to be aware of all our offerings and for our brand to be very visible and accessible,” he continues.

When asked about why his company is using GITEX Shopper 2010 as part of GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK to promote itself and its various brands Bhatnagar responds, “As the largest event of its kind in the region, this exhibition is a key event in the calendar of all ICT related companies. We at Emax are present at GITEX Shopper showcasing our latest products, alongside all the other major players in the industry.

The show is an excellent retail platform for us to promote our offerings with the event being attended by visitors in their hundreds of thousands from the Middle East and beyond. It is also a great medium for the public to see and experience all our latest products first hand”.

The electronics titan cites market capture as a strategic objective for the year. Bhatnagar explains, “Our major objective this year is to capture a wider segment of the Middle Eastern market, making our products more accessible to a wider audience as we continue to push forward with our expansion plans. Over the next three years we are looking to open 40 more stores across the GCC region, in addition to the 22 we already have up and running.”

Emax competes with other power retailers such as Jumbo Electronics and Sharaf DG.
