UAE-based systems integrator Al-Futtaim Technologies is keen to emphasise its broad area of expertise at GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK, and also plans to launch two new services during the event.

Al-Futtaim Technologies plans to showcase a wide range of solutions including networking solutions, IP telephony, infrastructure, contact centre solutions, business applications and extra low voltage (ELV) systems.

“These solutions represent our recent project wins in the hospitality, telecom, retail and education sectors and will complement our partners’ – Alcatel-Lucent, Panasonic and Microsoft Dynamics - presence across the exhibition,” says Venkat Raghavan, General Manager, Al-Futtaim Technologies. He adds that GITEX, which attracts visitors from across the MENA region, is of particular value to Al-Futtaim Technologies, which is a pan-GCC player. “We hope to build our brand value with visitors from new territories and generate leads from existing customers,” he added.

“Our aim is to re-emphasise Al-Futtaim Technologies’ position as a leading converged systems Integrator offering ICT and ELV convergence services. Our value proposition lies in connecting ICT components such as IP telephone systems with ELV items such as CCTV and access control.

“We hope to showcase the ingenuity behind our customer-centric solutions, our robust and mutually rewarding partnerships and the holistic nature of our convergence skills to visitors. We also hope to strengthen existing relationships with the business ecosystem – customers, competition and suppliers,” he adds.

The two new products that the company plans to launch at the event are an energy management solution and a managed services offering for large, medium and small enterprises.

Al-Futtaim’s energy management solution is an “end-to-end” solution comprising hardware, software and services that will enable building owners to meter, monitor and better manage their building costs such as electricity and water, according to Raghavan.

The managed services offering for, which is for large, medium and small enterprises, is designed to meet the “needs of the changing market place” where customers now favour IT investments as OPEX rather than CAPEX, Raghavan said.

Al-Futtaim Technologies is part of the Al-Futtaim group, which is headquartered in the UAE.
