SECURITY software vendor Kaspersky’s Middle East team is planning to be out in full force this week as it bids to build on the progress it has made in the region during the past 12 months.

The company will be marketing its full range of consumer and business security software at its stand in Hall 4 and will have experts on hands to answer visitors’ questions.

“GITEX is established as one of the world’s most important trade exhibitions in the field of telecoms and IT. Hence, such an exhibition will assist Kaspersky Lab to keep our current as well as potential customers updated with the latest products and technologies,” says Tarek Kuzbari, Managing Director at Kaspersky.

According to Kuzbari, the vendor’s main priorities this week are to communicate with customers and partners and present the features of its latest product suites.

“GITEX is a significant opportunity for Kaspersky Lab to showcase its new line of corporate products and reiterates its commitment to the consumers and partners in the region,” he adds. “Moreover, Kaspersky Lab is flying in experts from Moscow to share their expertise and insight on the IT industry.”

Kaspersky employs more than 1,900 highly-qualified specialists internationally and has its headquarters in Moscow. The company currently works in more than 100 countries across the globe and provides protection for over 300 million users worldwide.

Kaspersky claims to be the first company to develop a number of technological standards in the antivirus industry, including full-scale solutions for Linux, Unix and NetWare, a second-generation heuristic analyser designed to detect newly emerging viruses and effective protection against polymorphic and macro viruses.
