The 30th annivesary edition of Gitex opens today.
Leading names from the world of technology will today converge on Dubai to celebrate the 30th anniversary of GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK.
This year’s show promises to be the most comprehensive yet, with a raft of special events planned to mark the milestone achievement and ensure exhibitors and visitors are provided with the ultimate platform to conduct business.
Global and regional companies from the IT and telecoms sectors will again be represented within the GITEX Business Solutions, GULFCOMMS and Consumer Electronics sections of the show, while a number of new forums have been added to reflect the major trends shaping the future of the technology industry.
One highlight of this year’s show is GITEX Mobile Apps & Content World, which will provide a framework for vendors, mobile operators and software developers to assess opportunities in this rapidly-evolving market.
GITEX Cloud Confex, meanwhile, will bring together the world’s top cloud computing specialists to showcase their latest innovations and debate the issues impacting a sector that has huge implications for the Middle East.
“New features and developments each year emphasise GITEX as one of the most influential and high-profile global ICT events, and position the show as a key platform for companies to grow into the Middle East,” comments Helal Saeed Almarri, CEO of Dubai World Trade Centre, organisers of GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK.
