Anti-malware software vendor BitDefender has handed 4S Technologies a contract to distribute its products in the Middle East and North Africa region.

The distribution partnership is the second it has signed this year, following an earlier deal with Golden Systems.

"4S Technologies is a well-renowned and leading distributor of quality IT security products across the Middle East," said Khalid Muasher, senior channel manager at BitDefender.

"With the growing demand for our products and the tremendous potential of the market, partnering with an experienced distributor such as 4S will definitely help in growing our business and also assist a number of companies who will benefit from the proactive and advanced security that our products offer," he added.

Dubai-based 4S was founded seven years ago and specialises in advanced network and security technologies. It sells products from a range of vendors, including Cisco, Kaspersky, Iolo Technologies and Microsoft.

Bagher Bahri, managing director for 4S Technologies, believes the tie-up with BitDefender adds another string to its bow.

"As a company we pride ourselves on bringing effective solutions to the market and, with a distribution channel of over 500 resellers throughout the MENA region, we are confident this partnership will not only benefit companies and their employees, but also BitDefender by enhancing their market presence," he said.
