Systems integrator and distributor Scope Information Systems (SCOPE) will be taking a two-pronged approach to GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK this year, looking to both showcase its range of technology solutions, and to meet potential new vendor partners to expand its line.

The company, which earlier this year split into a distribution arm, Scope Middle East, and systems integration arm, Scope Information Systems, is looking for possible new signings on both fronts, says its CEO, Fadi Abu Ekab.

“GITEX offers a great venue for SCOPE to meet with existing and potential vendors, customers and resellers and expose our name and capabilities to the market,” he explains. “We have several key objectives this year which include meeting and consolidating our relationships with our major vendors like HP, Cisco, Microsoft, Blue Coat, Sharp and others, discussing strategic initiatives and plans with our channel partners, seeking project engagements with customers and very importantly tying up with new vendors especially in the technology areas of active data, data centres, servers, virtualisation and security.”

The company has already expanded its distribution line-up recently, signing distributorship agreements with cable specialist Legrand and ‘pure IP’ next generation communications developer Splicecom, and is now looking to add to its solutions and services range.

Scope also recently certified as a Blue Coat ‘Blue Touch Service Partner’, to deliver branded professional services to Blue Coat customers in the region.
