Cloud computing is set to be a major theme for many companies at this year’s GITEX TECHNOLOGY, none more so than UAE-based Cloud Concept, which has already proved itself to be an influential name in this rising technology area.

The company offers several cloud computing products and services from market leaders such as Salesforce.com, Google and Amazon Web Services.

It also has its own set of products, including Facility Cloud - a cloud-based solution for managing, maintaining, renovating, and operating facilities - and TaskIt!, which enables Salesforce CRM users to assign and track activities linked to non-Salesforce users, such as partners, suppliers, and internal employees, without having to purchase additional user licenses.

“Cloud Concept aims to contribute to the adoption of cloud computing technologies and concepts by regional companies,” explains Sami Caracand, CEO and Co-Founder of the company.

“Educating the Middle East and Levant markets about the advantages of cloud computing and its value proposition is one of our key aims of participating in GITEX. As the registered partner of Salesforce.com, Amazon Web Services, and Google Apps in the Middle East, participating at GITEX will help promote and provide visibility into our service offerings and consulting services.”

Caracand insists that Cloud Concept has three main messages that it is eager to communicate to GITEX visitors.

The first, says Caracand, is that cloud computing should no longer just be seen as something that will only be useful in the future.

“Gartner predicts that by 2012, 80% of Fortune 1,000 enterprises will pay for a cloud-computing service, while 30% of them will pay for cloud-computing infrastructure. Cloud computing is continuing to transform businesses by providing the platform for scalable, cost-effective and secure solutions,” comments Caracand.

Secondly, the company wants to make it clear that cloud computing can benefit companies of all descriptions and industries.

“Cloud computing promotes IT optimisation so that IT resources are configured for maximum cost-benefit. That’s an instant success parameter for IT professionals. The financial benefits of cloud computing mean success for CFOs, resulting in low capital and operational expenditure. C-level executives achieve success from data visibility, reporting and analytics-on-demand features.”

And thirdly, Cloud Concept wants to promote the success of its operations in the region so far. “Our company has been the pioneer of cloud computing services and solutions in the Middle East market and we are proud to present our success stories and capabilities to GITEX visitors,” says Caracand.

In addition to unveiling its flagship products at GITEX, Cloud Concept will introduce its service offerings and consulting portfolio. It calls itself the “first” dedicated cloud computing consulting firm in the market and a registered partner of Salesforce.com, Google Apps and Amazon Web Services, the three largest players in the cloud computing space.

Caracand says that the company’s products have been designed with the local needs of the Middle East market in mind. That has led it to incorporate important design considerations into its products - such as language and currency support - allowing them to be used uniquely by Middle East customers.
