Nokia Intends to dazzle visitors to GITEX Mobile Apps & Content World with its latest smartphones and solutions, especially those specifically designed for the Middle East region and which are available through its Ovi store.

“Building on our previous involvement at GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK, together with our operator partners, Nokia has strengthened its commitment this year by participating in the first GITEX Mobile Apps & Content World,” says Steve Lewis, Marketing Director for Nokia MEA.

He says the company is looking forward to networking with the wider developer community and highlighting the potential of working with Nokia on applications for the Ovi Store.

“Nokia’s strategy is all about engaging with the broader eco-system, especially third party developers, to create exciting and locally-relevant content that is easy to download and easy to access by consumers on their smartphones,” says Lewis. “More than one billion consumers worldwide use a Nokia phone - and many of these people are increasingly interested in mobile services and solutions. Whether it’s for education, entertainment, social uplifting reasons or business – Nokia offers developers a consumer base like no other,” he adds.

Visitors to the Nokia stand can expect to see the new Nokia N8, as well as other popular models such as the Nokia E72, N900 and N97mini.
