Avaya is planning to focus on providing a new suite of enhanced product innovations and services based on Aura - its breakthrough SIP-based architecture - during this year’s GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK in Dubai.

“Avaya has been participating at GITEX for the past six years, and the focus for this year is on a new suite of services based on Avaya Aura, a SIP-based architecture that easily integrates communications across multi-vendors, multi-locations and multi-modal businesses,” says Nidal Abou-Ltaif, Area Vice President of Avaya Emerging Markets.

Avaya provides unified communications, contact centres, data networking solutions and related services directly and through its channel partners to leading organisations globally.

The new suite is set to redefine the effectiveness of real-time, multimedia enterprise communications and makes it possible to accelerate decision-making and achieve meaningful financial impact, while moving enterprises towards a more people-centric approach to collaboration.

Abou-Ltaif says that Avaya’s participation this year is largely strategic, as the company will be presenting enhanced and innovative solutions following on from its integrated product roadmap after the acquisition of Nortel Enterprise Solutions earlier this year.
He further adds that GITEX participation will enable Avaya to demonstrate its commitment to providing both Avaya and Nortel heritage customers with advanced communications, and the capabilities they need to manage and grow their organisations.

“GITEX is the best location for us to reach out to customers and partners and present the new Avaya on a single platform.

“We are looking forward to forging new business deals and generating new business leads which we can then share with our partner base,” Abou-Ltaif says.

He further adds that it is important for Avaya to be part of GITEX as it reinforces its partners’ and customers’ trust in them as a leading communications vendor.

“We have witnessed a double-digit growth in revenues in the Middle East, and have been investing and expanding our activities across the region to tackle the rising customer demand,” he says.
