GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK is celebrating its 30th anniversary as the region’s premier technology exhibition by organising a number of conferences and special events that will enlighten visitors to the show and provide them with all the information they need about the IT developments shaping the industry.

Once again, the ever-popular GULFCOMMS and Consumer Electronics aspects of the show will be full of the latest innovations in networking and communications and digital lifestyle solutions respectively.

GITEX 2010 features a packed conference agenda, including the GITEX Global Leaders Summit, which is the platform for the show’s keynote address. Some of the industry’s leading global executives will be speaking exclusively at GITEX about the topics affecting their businesses and the industry in general.

Further to that, there is a packed agenda planned for this year’s GITEX Global Conference. The inaugural GITEX Cloud Confex is set to make its mark in style, with a host of top industry experts poised to outline their view on the SaaS trend that is dominating talk in the market.

The Leaders in Industry Briefings, meanwhile, will see international experts and ICT professionals gather to identify the trends shaping the enterprise sector, while there will also be niche sessions for small and medium businesses.

GITEX 2010 will also see the launch of the GITEX Mobile Apps & Content World, which promises to provide a high-profile and dynamic framework for the burgeoning mobile applications and entertainment market.

Visitors will be able to meet with leading developers, device manufacturers, carriers and content providers, such as Nokia, Ausu-Garmin, Blackberry, Haiku, Globo Mobile, FiCall, Winjit, sevdotcom and many other top names.

With official support as the Industry Partner,  the Mobile Entertainment Forum (MEF) - a leading global advocate for the mobile entertainment industry - will also be lending its support to this upcoming sector, which  reinforces the importance of mobile apps and content throughout the Middle East.

Running parallel to the exhibition will be a series of open panel debates focusing exclusively on apps content, VAS and mobile marketing in the Middle East. These daily sessions are free to attend for all visitors. GITEX Mobile Apps & Content World is the first and only exhibition in the Middle East that offers both an exhibition platform and discussion forum together in one place at the same time and is one sector not to be missed.

This year GITEX will also feature an ICT Iconic Gallery, where visitors can take a walk through the past as part of the celebrations to mark GITEX’s third decade in operation. Visitors will get to enjoy a showcase of the evolution and innovation of ICT over the past 30 years.
