E-City ServiceSquad introduces new options for service ServiceSquad will service items whether purchased at E-City or not, and regardless of whether the item is under warranty.

Electronics retailer E-City is aiming to improve the standard of customer care in the UAE with the launch of its new ServiceSquad.

The Service Squad offering will provide maintenance and other support services for a wide range of consumer electronics and computing products, whether they were purchased from E-City or not, and regardless of the warranty status.

E-City says it has created a number of strategic relationships with specialist service companies to provide the ServiceSquad offerings.

Mueez Rahman, chief operating officer, E-City, commented: “A fully dedicated bouquet of services like this is being launched for the first time in UAE. Till now, customers had nowhere to turn to for professional repairs. Small time mechanics are unreliable and you wouldn’t even know how good they are or the spares they use.

“What’s unique about ServiceSquad is irrespective of where you’ve purchased your product, we’ll fix it.” From computers and mobile phones to home audio video electronics and home appliances – purchased anywhere in the world – the entire range of services is now available at one place. It’s important that customers have a single point of contact for repairing the entire range of appliances – ServiceSquad has a dedicated Personal Service Advisor and a common toll free number. This helps to avoid the hassle of running around from one emirate to another, one agent to another.”

The ServiceSquad portfolio includes a number of different services, including in-store troubleshooting and upgrading of notebooks, mobile phones, iPod; gaming hardware; installation of software; hardware diagnostics; gadget personalization and more, with service counters at all E-City retail outlets.

Customers can also call a toll-free number and ServiceSquad will collect the item for service from the home. The company will also offer on-site service for televisions, home theatre or appliance installation, wireless network installation for computers, electronics and appliances relocation and others.
