Belkin beefs up distribution channel with Logicom Andrew Pepperell says Belkin is confident that Logicom will give it access to both commercial and retail channels across the region.

Connectivity products vendor Belkin has awarded Logicom the rights to distribute its offering in the Middle East.

The manufacturer claims the move is designed to strengthen its presence in a number of key regional markets, including the UAE, Bahrain, Oman, Lebanon and Jordan.

Logicom will distribute the full line of Belkin products and cover all verticals, including the power retail, corporate and SMB channels.

Andrew Pepperell, regional key account manager at Belkin, believes Logicom's extensive reseller network will support its expansion.

"The key components to partnering with Logicom were based on their broadline distributor momentum, cross-selling capabilities and regional expertise and resources within multiple countries," he said.

The partnership with Logicom is part of Belkin's strategy to develop a local distribution structure in numerous markets across the MEA region.  

Nicholas Argyrides, general manager at Logicom, added: "For Logicom, the partnership with Belkin comes at an ideal time period whereby the retail channel is a key focus for us. Belkin clearly complements our existing retail product portfolio with devices and accessories that harmonise our consumer offerings."
