Fujisoft opens Panasonic UC support and training centre
Fujisoft launches Dubai centre to drive uptake of Panasonic IP PBX in the UAE
Fujisoft Technology has opened a dedicated support and training centre for Panasonic's IP PBX unified communications solutions in the UAE.
The centre, located in Dubai, will provide a range of roles to support Fujisoft in bringing Panasonic's range of unified communications solutions to market.
The company has also been appointed as a gold partner for Al-Futtaim Panatech, the exclusive distributor of Panasonic products in the UAE.
The solution centre will act as a technical training centre for Fujisoft's own staff and its reseller partners, hosting twice-weekly training sessions in sales and support, and quarterly sessions with Panasonic engineers on technical advancements to the range. The centre has a capacity to train 20 people at a time.
The centre will also provide technical support to Panasonic unified communications customers, with eight call centre agents and ten engineers available, and will provide proof of concept and technology demonstrations to customers.
The move comes as part of a drive by Panasonic, Fujisoft and Panatech to target the SMB market in the UAE, to drive the uptake of Panasonic NCP and TDE series IP telephony hardware and software solutions.
Speaking at the opening of the centre, Takeshi Matsushita, assistant manager of Panasonic's Communication Systems Business Unit Japan commented: "Demand for unified communications is growing, globally the ratio between analogue and IP is 70% analogue, 30% IP, however if we look at the Middle East and UAE, IP is still around 15-16%. After the economic crisis, small businesses stopped investing in new, big systems and software, and are going more for efficiency, and applications that will deliver that, allow them to use existing solutions, like Panasonic's solutions. We expect a much bigger growth for IP and unified communications, in the region, but to enter such areas, we definitely sophisticated, high quality of partners like Fujisoft."
Albert Raj, managing director of Fujisoft Technology, said that the company will look at expanding its reach, through appointing gold-level resellers and VARs to handle the Panasonic IP PBX line, and will support this through online training and qualification to get their engineers trained on the technology.
Raj said that he believes Fujisoft and Panasonic's solutions will have an impact on the SMB market in the UAE, part due to the backwards compatibility and compatibility the systems offer, bringing more flexibility to cost-conscious SMB users.
"Any customer who has purchased any Panasonic products, they are backward compatible with our new system, we can connect any product from Panasonic, so the investment protection is there for the customers. The solution is a unified box, with the capability to connect to analogue extensions, digital extensions, hybrid extensions and IP, and any brand of SIP extensions will work the system, it is all in one box, with a wide range of software functionality built in," Raj said.
Shaun Sullivan, general manager of Al-Futtaim Panatech commented: "This is a particularly special arrangement with Fujisoft, because we are sharing the technology and service base, and we are sharing the sales and promotion and marketing activities, to promote this Panasonic solution.
"What the customer is going to experience with IP PBX Panasonic solutions in the UAE is a product, service, after sales service and technology back-up, not just from Fujisoft but from the power of the Al Futtaim Group together with Panasonic. The total support is far in excess in what any of the individual components could have given," he added.
