OCZ has a range of solid state drives (SSDs) that targets each of the different segments of the SSD market. The Agility Series is the company's mainstream offering and so targets price-conscious buyers.

Our test sample known as the OCZSSD2-1AGT120G features 128GB of storage capacity and is packed into a 2.5-inch form-factor. This makes it suitable for notebooks out of the box but if you want to use this drive in your desktop PC, you'll have to buy mounting hardware. Manufacturers such as Kingston and Patriot offer desktop-specific kits which ship with mounting rails and we'd like to see OCZ do something similar as it adds convenience.

The Agility Series features 64MB of cache memory and a 1.5million hour MTBF. We installed the drive in our standard test rig and found that it offered decent performance on the whole. It returned HDTach3 average read and write speeds of 212.6MB/sec and 103.9MB/sec along with a burst speed of 169.0MB/sec. Coming to our real-world load tests, the OCZ took 19- and 10-seconds to complete our Company of Heroes and F.E.A.R level load tests. These results place the OCZ last in terms of performance though by small margins.

Thankfully, as the OCZ SSD drive retails for just US $310 it is the least expensive 128GB SSD in this grouptest. If you're on a tight budget then the 128GB Agility is actually quite good value-for-money.

Verdict: OCZ's 128GB Agility Series is a great mainstream solid state drive that packs decent performance at an attractive price.

Pros: Easy to install

Cons: Slow write/transfer speed.

ITP is very behind on the game...
I just purchased myslef a 60 GB OCZ Vertex 2
with 250mbps write and 265/read

there is an agility 2 out there as well with higher write speeds than this obsolete product here.

Im not even gonna review this anymore
