Bosch has released a two terabyte upgrade hard drive kit, to enhance the capacity of its 700 Series surveillance Recorders.

The kits, can extend the storage capacity of the IP-based and hybrid system to up eight terabytes, to increase the length and quality of stored surveillance video.

The kit includes a 2TB drive and mounting, and is compatible with Divar XF and the new 700 Series Network and Hybrid Digital Recorders. The company says this can expand the capacity of systems like the 700 Network Recorder, which supports up to 32 IP channels, to hold up to 45 days of real-time 24-hour continuous 4CIF recording.

The disks can operate in RAID-4 configuration which prevents the loss of recorded data if a single hard disk should fail, and are also compatible with the latest version of Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology (S.M.A.R.T.), which warns the administrator of pending drive failure.
