BitDefender gets Kaspersky distributor on its side
Security software firm confirms partnership with Golden Systems Middle East
Anti-malware software vendor BitDefender has appointed Golden Systems Middle East (GSME) as a distributor for its products in the Middle East. GSME's existing experience of the security software field comes from its partnership with Kaspersky.
BitDefender hopes the move will allow it to market its range of security products to small businesses through Golden Systems' network of channel partners.
"The GCC is a key growth market for BitDefender and the demand for our high-quality and innovative security products and solutions have been on the rise, necessitating the need for us to engage with a well-established and strong channel distribution partner," said Khalid Muasher, senior channel manager for BitDefender.
Muasher added that the vendor believes Golden Systems' experience of the market will be a valuable asset to it as it steps up its activities in the region.
"We are certain that this partnership will help enhance our market presence and product awareness among current and prospective customers," he said.
BitDefender's suite of products includes anti-virus and information security software solutions, primarily targeted at small businesseses.
Ehsan Hashemi, COO at Golden Systems Middle East, believes BitDefender will prove to be a strong addition to its portfolio.
