Economic pressures, as well as increased competition, are driving the adoption of business intelligence services, according to the latest report by Global Industry Analysts.

It stated that a growing desire by CIOs and other C-level executives to cut unproductive revenues, as well as identify high-profit areas, is resulting in an increased uptake of business intelligence solutions.

As a result, the analyst firm predicted that the global business intelligence software market will grow by a quarter between now and 2015, passing the $12bn mark. According to Gartner, the market saw over $9bn in revenue in 2009.

Global Industry Analysts predicted that the biggest growth sector over the next two years will be healthcare, as it, along with other major enterprise sectors in the Middle East follow the banking industry in adopting business intelligence as a central source of information for CIOs.
