Global Knowledge has unveiled a training programme to help Cisco partners develop the new business architect role that was recently announced at the networking vendor's partner summit by Cisco's worldwide channel chief Keith Goodwin.

The Business Architect Programme teaches Cisco partners to develop scalable and sustainable Cisco architecture practices.

It uses a robust enterprise business architecture, business analysis and business process consulting curriculum to transform talented Cisco channel partner account managers into business architects.

"We are deeply committed to enabling Cisco's channel partners to develop the skills needed to evolve and grow in the current market, and we are proud to have worked closely with Cisco on this project for the last 12 months," said Brian Branson, president and CEO of Global Knowledge.

Ali Hawksworth, Global Knowledge's worldwide Cisco business development director, added that the company had created a cohesive programme to provide partners with the skills that drive real and sustainable individual and organisational change.

"We are uniquely positioned to deliver this complex change programme because of our comprehensive curriculum of technical, sales, business architecture, business analysis, and business process consulting coupled with our Cisco Learning Solutions Partner status," stated Hawksworth.
