Aiming to transform and improve business practices while being extremely economical, EDL took up the initiative of promoting the concept of Asterisk based UC system.

Through Emitac Unified Communication System (eUCS), EDL was able to bridge the gap between telephony and computing to deliver real-time messaging, voice presence, e-mail and video calling. Considering the market conditions and squeezed IT budgets within organizations, this solution proved to be suitable, extremely useful and highly economical for organizations.

With this solution, the Customer spends less but reaps high benefits of complete business communications like telephones, auto-attendants, voice mail, unified messaging server IVR, outbound dialing and voice conferencing by integrating with various third-party products. Apart from being user friendly, the system is highly scalable and customizable.  It relieves the customer from the licensing hassle and integrates seamlessly with CRM solutions, well known vendor solutions and traditional voice systems.

Some of the recent eUCS implementations EDL has done in the last quarter include organizations from diversified sectors ranging from ministries to oil & gas to pipeline and educational organizations.

• Successful Implementation of eUCS for a Ministry in Abu Dhabi, ECSSR (Emirates Centre for Strategic Studies and research in Abu Dhabi). The scope of the project included complete business communications like telephony, voice mail, unified messaging. The project was completed in just four days.

• Successful Implementation of Asterisk Digium SwitchVox based systems for a major manpower supply industry leader, Prime Projects, in Dubai for around 300 end points. The system was implemented to connect their two offices at Deira - 200 users and Dubai silicon Oasis - 50 users; additionally, eUC system with complete features was implemented to connect with their remote locations meeting the highest security standards.

• Emitac has won a huge deal for one of the international Schools in Dubai, the American School of Dubai for their new location in Al-Barsha. The scope of the project includes the installation of UC system for more than 300 end points including virtual systems and is tightly integrated with the already existing paging system.
