Dell's new 'hybrid' Streak, which doubles as both a tablet device and a smartphone, will launch in the Middle East later this year.

The new Dell Streak, which sports a 5-inch capacitive touchscreen display, is said to provide customers with the best ‘on-the-go' entertainment, social connection and navigation experience.

The device comes with 2GB of internal storage with the option of using a Micro SD card for more memory, built-in GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth and 3G connectivity, and a 5 megapixel flash camera.

"The Dell Streak hits the sweet spot between traditional smartphones and larger-screen tablets," said Ron Garriques, president, Dell Communication Solutions Group. "Its unique size provides people new ways to enjoy, connect, and navigate their lives."

Dell Streak will make its debut in the United Kingdom early next month, followed by a U.S. launch later in the summer.

Though there is still no release date for the Middle East as yet, a company spokesperson confirmed that the Streak will launch in the region later this year.
