During the MECOM 2010 Exhibition and Conference (May 17-19 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates), Radio Frequency Systems (RFS), the global wireless and broadcast infrastructure specialist, will feature the RFS StayConnected Days @ MECOM 2010, effectively creating the event inside the event. As part of this initiative, RFS will present its responses to major customer trends as well as its latest solutions and innovations to help operators, OEMs and installation companies face the challenges of in-building coverage, 3G and LTE in the Middle East.

The RFS StayConnected Days @ MECOM 2010 build on the very successful RFS StayConnected Days roadshows that RFS has been rolling out globally since September 2009. During these roadshows, decision-makers in technical, purchasing, sales and management functions at customers including operators, OEMs and installation companies, met with RFS experts for one-on-one discussions.

“Our worldwide RFS StayConnected Days roadshows quickly gained momentum in 2009 and early 2010 and we continue to be inspired by our customers’ positive responses. After Mobile World Congress in Europe and the International CTIA WIRELESS show in the USA, I’m really looking forward to presenting RFS’ breakthrough innovations to all of our existing and new Middle Eastern partners during the RFS StayConnected Days @ MECOM 2010,” said Eric Mariette, Vice President Global Strategy & Marketing at RFS.

Learn about key innovations for in-building coverage, 3G and LTE in the Middle East

During the RFS StayConnected Days @ MECOM 2010, RFS experts will discuss the demand for high-volume, standardized equipment and the need for 3G coverage overlay — in particular in the fast-changing in-building environment of the Middle East. They will also discuss management of new frequencies and spectrum rebanding complexity, development of new technologies such as LTE, as well as RFS’ state of-the-art solutions to minimize the challenges of Remote Radio Head deployments.

To illustrate its expertise, RFS will feature a number of highly innovative solutions, including:

• RFS ClearFill® Star, the world’s first and only fully digital RF-over-Ethernet wireless in-building cellular coverage solution.

• RFS HYBRIFLEX™, the world’s first lightweight aluminum hybrid feeder cabling solution to combine optical fiber and DC power for Remote Radio Heads in a single corrugated cable.

• RFS DC-FIT™ connectors, which substantially reduce installation time and costs when upgrading existing sites to Remote Radio Head technology.

• RFS OMNI-FIT™ Premium line of RF connectors, which include design breakthroughs for best-in-class performance and value.

• RFS LTE-ready ShareLite series of combiners, which marry high performance and compact design to deliver unparalleled cell site optimization.

“Whether their focus is on wireless communications, in-building coverage, broadcasting or another area of RFS expertise, our Middle East customers will certainly recognize that RFS is totally committed to partnering with them and to serving their evolving needs,” said Hesham El-Nahhas, RFS’ new General Manager for the Middle East.
