Dubai-based Mega Electronics has struck an alliance with Bahraini distributor Mars IT as it looks to get its portfolio of IT accessories and peripherals in front of customers across the MENA region.

Mars has been awarded an authorised distributorship for the company's IMEGA Plus range of PC hardware products, which it will initially market in Bahrain before attempting to target other countries.

Mir Abbas Ali, general manager at Mega Electronics, said the company was committed to providing "world-class IT products" to customers in Bahrain. "Having the support of a leading IT distribution company is a huge vote of confidence for our organisation and we look forward to this partnership continuing for many years to come," he said.

Ali Mohd Akbar Khan, general manager of Mars IT, which this year celebrates its 10th anniversary in the market, believes that Mega Electronics' products will be a strong addition to its retail portfolio.

"At Mars, we believe that you can't win tomorrow's battles with yesterday's technology. We have been harnessing the power of new international trends in IT to help our clients win today, as well as tomorrow. We believe that addressing our clients' needs is vital to a successful business relationship," stated Khan.

In addition to wholesale, Mars operates corporate resell and integration businesses. The Manama-based firm is a member of the Arai Group and employs around 70 people.
